Theft with forgiveness

Every once in a while, good things happen on this planet. Protagonist of this story is Samuel, a ten years old boy living in Oregon. In a recent visit in the State’s government building, Samuel took with him a pen and a nut. Filled with guilt and guided by his parents, he wrote a letter to the governor, apologising for the act and including a $1 bill, proving himself sincerely sorry for the incident. The final sentence – I hope that you and the people of Oregon can forgive me – it’s simply a work of art.

Governor Kate Brown’s answer met the expectations. “On behalf of the people of Oregon, I accept your apology and forgive you”: wonderful, and I can only imagine the feeling of relief for the little boy!!! Furthermore, there was also a pen to remind about the incident.

Everything was so nice!!!
